A twenty-year veteran of Gananoque’s Collin’s & Aikmen’s auto parts manufacturer, Teresa really knows how to clean up a messy place. Having been further trained at the Gananoque Inn & Spa in hospitality housekeeping standards she is our master clean freak. Teresa is a warm and happy sight to our residents when she arrives on their housekeeping day. While Teresa does not tolerate residents who keep an untidy home she is very approachable and eager to accommodate the needs of our residents.

In 2011 John retired from a 40-year career in the long haul trucking business. After logging millions of miles all over North America he is very pleased to be closer to home and family in his new career with Varsity Properties. John is responsible for keeping our residents homes neat and tidy year round. Weather it be cutting lawns, tending to gardens, shoveling or plowing snow John takes great pride in his work. John is also responsible for grading our residents on the exterior condition of their homes through our VarsityYards program. We are very luck to have a man of Johns experience join our Resident Services Team.

Rita graduated from Laurentien University with a degree in Business Management in 2010 and joined our firm the day after her last exam. Starting as a Temp Administrative Assistant she made an immediate impact with her attention to detail, drive to complete tasks quickly and her friendly out going personality. She was promoted to Resident Service Manager in August 2011 where she is responsible for property leasing, resident support, over seeing repairs, maintenance and coordinating service partners. Rita is truly passionate about serving our residents needs and you will find her to be extremely helpful and your first point of contact as a Varsity Resident.

A graduate of George Brown College in 2007, Ashley worked in Toronto in the fashion indusry for several years. She has recently returned to her native Kingston to work as a senior adminstrator of a local contracting company specialzing in restroations and recovery. Ashley started as a summer intern in 2011 and Ashley is responsible for admistration of our work order managment system, a critical system in our delivery of superior resident services. Ashley is currently developing the 2012 marketing plan, refreshing our social media strategy and doing all she can to learn the ins and outs of the Resident Services business. We are very pleased to welcome her to our team.

A graduate of Laurentien University's Business Administration Degree, Joel is responsible for our Varsity Leasing Team. He is available to answer any questions about our portfolio of properties and will likely also be the person who takes you on tours. Joel will help you through the process of formalizing your lease agreement and arranging for receipt of your rental deposit.

A graduate of Queen's University's Applied Science program, Mark is responsible for the team of service and repair technicians and contractors that keep Varsity Properties operating at peak efficiency. Mark is an efficient problem solver and works hard every day to keep our residents happy when ever a repair is required. He has also designed a detailed preventative maintenance schedule for each of our properties.

A graduate (with honours) of St. Lawrence College's Business Administration Diploma Program, Elizabeth majored in Human Resource Management with a minor in Information Systems and Accounting. Prior to joining our Varsity Team she held bookkeeping, payroll, accounting and general management positions with DuPont Canada (7 years) and Kingston Imaging Services (13 years). Elizabeth is responsible for receiving rents, issuing payments to our service partners, payroll and for maintaining accurate financial records for our company. Elizabeth joined our team in October 2011 and we are very pleased she decided to join us in our delivery of Premium Resident Services.

A graduate of Queen's University's Bachelor of Commerce program, A.J. is the founder and president of our company. He is responsible for all company operations and leads the team on a daily basis. A.J. began his real estate career in Toronto's financial district as an Office Leasing Agent with Smith Company. In 2003 he moved home to Kingston to join DTZ Barnicke as a Commercial Real Estate Broker and start Varsity Properties. In 2006 he earned the CCIM real estate designation from the CCIM institute in Chicago. In 2008 A.J. left the brokerage business to focus full time in the development and management of residential communities for students.
