Our job is the make the academic living experience hassle free for your student. We work hard to ensure our Residents receive top service. We shovel snow, mow lawns, rake leaves in the fall and quickly replace anything that breaks. We even provide regular housekeeping services to ensure everything stays clean and to proactively identify opportunities for maintenance. This high level of hospitality is rooted in our firm belief that a clean and well-maintained home gives our Residents the best chance at accademic success.
We believe that the experience of a University education extends beyond the classroom. As such, try to teach our Residents about the basic operations of their home. We provide information on how electrical breakers work, what kind of detergent to put into automatic dishwashers, when garbage day is, and what types things should go into recycling bins. It sounds basic, but these are important independent living skills.
We help our residents to learn how to become self-sufficient adults by treating them as such. This starts with our requirement that all leases are to be signed by residents only. Parental co-signers are not allowed. This helps Residents come to understand the responsibility that comes with signing on to what is often their first major business transaction. In the past, we have found that speed and accuracy of communication between Varsity and our Residents is impaired when third parties try to become involved. Therefore, we discourage parents from managing the rental relationship on behalf of their student.
We encourage parents to talk with their students about there housing needs and to ask lost their student lots of questions. It’s a decision that will last for 12 months so we’re here to help you make a choice that best suites you. We have all sizes of properties from studio suites to 7-bedroom houses and we have professional patient leasing manager who make the leasing process easy.
